I learned that the Finchs were a family that scaped from religious persecutions from England and moved to Alabama, US. The family formed a farm called "The Finch´s land". Atticus Finch born some generations next, he became a lawyer and moved to the town of Maycomb, he got married and had two sons; Jem and Scout.
2- Describe Calpurnia as Scout depicts her in Chapter 1:
An African American woman, disciplined, with good relationship with Atticus and according to Scout "quite tyrannical".
3- What does Dill dare Jem to do? Dill dares Jem to touch the mysterious "Radley place".
4- The townspeople of Maycomb have some fears and superstitions about the Radley place. Describe these fears and superstitions.
The townspeople beleaved that in the Radley´s place lived Boo (children´s nickname) or Arthur Radley. They thought that he was a crazy boy who had been punished by his father for among 15 years because of having problems with the police and trying to kill his father with a pair of scissors. Since then, no one has seen him.
5- How important is bravery to Jem?
I think it´s very important because he is always trying to demostrate bravery to her sister.
6- What do you notice about the narrative voice and viewpoint of the story?
It´s somehow weird for me as a reader to know that the narrator is a little girl, I notice that she is very intelligent and has a very innocence point of view from life.
