I analized this poem with my classmates and we got to the conclusion that it that there isn´t a relation in first instance between the images and text itself. This difference could be because of the tone of the poem, and this is related with the first question:1. How is the tone different in the two stories?
Because will we read the poem we figure a happy and childish tone, different that seeing the image´s tone (serious).
2. What are the limitations of tellin a story only with words?
I think when someone reads a text their mind has to think more to imagine the situation and understand. If the text implyies an image you give the receptors the real idea that your trying to communicate in the text.
3. f you saw the image without the rhyme, what would you say are the limitations of image as a means of storytelling?
I would hardly try to understand what the image is trying to communicate, but would be very difficult.
4. Must a story always change when transferred from one medium to another?
Yes, because it depends on the point of view and what is trying to express.
