Summary of Lesson March 25: Ad Analysis



- Anti ads: Advertising against common ads, fighting against consumerism.
- Philantropic ads: Humanitarian or charity ads.
- Culture jamming: tactic by consumer social movements to either disrupt or subvert mainstream cultural institutions. It is also intended to expose dubious or substandard political thoughts on commercial culture.
- Parody and pastiche:  parody is seen as more aggressively satirical, and pastiche as a literary exercise.
